This feature allows you to talk to 2 people in one call. The method to do this is different depending on whether you have an ATA with a standard analog phone or a Polycom Phone.
Home Phone / ATA with Analog Phone
- While on the first phone call, press Flash to go to the second line.
- At the dial tone, dial the second number.
- After the second number picks up, press Flash again to add the first call and start the conference call.
Polycom
Polycom phones will have a Conference soft key when you are on a
call. While on the call, hit the Conference (or Confrnc) button. You
will be able to dial the number/extension that you wish to conference
with. After the second number picks up, you may press the Conference key
again to connect the calls.
Alternatively, while on a call, hit the second line key to put the first call on hold and then you can place a second call. While on the second call, press the Join button (bottom of screen) and the calls will be combined into a conference call.
Note that if you hang up, the other parties will also be disconnected.
