Call Filters and Blocking
This feature allows you to filter your calls based on the caller's phone number, or block their calls entirely.
Setting Call Filters and Blocking
The first line of the Call Filters and Blocking table is always Anonymous callers (no caller ID). Click the Add button to add a new line. Enter the phone number in the Caller Number and set how you want that caller handled in the Destination Type column. Some Destination types have additional information that can be set in the Destination column as stated below.
You can clear the Filter and Blocking rule by clicking the Delete icon.
Click Save to save all changes.
- Do Nothing
- Only available for Anonymous callers. Don't do anything special and just ring through normally. This is the default behaviour.
- Call Forward / Call Forward Number
- Forward the call to another phone number. Businesses can enter an
extension instead of a phone number. Enter the phone number in the
Destination column.
- Privacy Manager
- Only available for Anonymous callers. Callers will hear a message
that Anonymous calls are not allowed and must enter their phone number
to continue the call.
- No Answer
- The call will not be answered. Your phone will not ring.
- Busy / Always Busy
- The caller will hear a busy signal.
- Voicemail
- Only really applicable to businesses. Calls can be redirected to a
voicemail box. Enter the extension of the voicemail in the Destination
column.
- Not in Service
- The caller will hear a message stating "This number is not in
service". This is probably the most useful option for blocking a phone
number completely, such as a telemarketer.
- Ring Tone
- This option is currently experimental and should not be used yet.
