Call Parking is used to put a call on hold that can be picked up from any extension. Since our system does not use the old idea of Lines (put Line 1 on hold, and pick up Line 1 elsewhere), Call Parking is the method used to transfer calls to someone when you don't know what extension they are at.
To Park an active call, dial #700 (or Transfer 700 if you have a Transfer key). The system will then give you an extension number (i.e. 701). After you hear the number, you may hang up the phone.
To Pickup the call from any extension, just dial the extension given (i.e. 701) and you will be connected to the caller.
A call will stay parked for 45 seconds (this can be changed) after which time, if no one has picked up the call, the extension that parked the call will ring and be connected to the caller. This prevents call from being lost.
