Group Hunt

Group Hunt

Group Hunt is useful if you typically work from multiple workstations. It allows you to ring all extensions in your Group Hunt list when your main extension is dialed.

Note: If Follow Me is enabled, then Group Hunt will not function.

In the Group Hunt page, you may enter up to 4 destinations (extension or external phone number) to ring when your main extension is dialed. The Suspend box allows you to remove a destination from your called Group without removing it from your list (it will not ring).

The Timeout field allows you to set how long you want the phones to ring. If left blank, it will use the length of time your phone normally rings (default 32 seconds).

The Last Destination indicates where you want the call to be directed if you do not pick up the phone at any destination. Check the Is Voicemail box to send the call directly to the voicemail of the Last Destination. Generally this is set to your main extension voicemail, but you may also redirect to an auto-attendant or operator.

Example

In the example to the right, the main extension is 202 and has added 210 to its Group Hunt. When someone dials 202, both 202 and 210 will ring. If the call is not answered, then the caller will be sent to the voicemail of 202.

When someone dials 210, only 210 will ring.
