Speakerphone Paging

Speakerphone Paging

This is currently only supported by our Polycom phones when enabled, and allows you to send a page to one or more phones.

Each phone can be setup with a single list of extensions to page. This will normally be setup when your phone system is installed, but can also be modified on the MyPhone portal in the Enhanced Services by entering a comma separated list of extensions to page in the Speakerphone Page dialog.

To page the group of extensions defined under Enhanced Services, dial *399.

To page a single extension, dial *400 followed by the extension to page. i.e. *400201.

Two Way Speakerphone Paging

Two way paging allows you to page a single extension, and start a two way conversation through the dialed phone. To start a Two Way Page, dial *400* followed by the extension to page. i.e. *400*201

Paging Groups

Multiple Paging groups can be created to allow a phone to page to different groups of extensions.  The groups can be setup in the MyPhone admin portal under Extensions -> Paging Groups.  To add a paging group, add a name and number and then select the destinations/phones to page.  Select Quiet Mode if you do not want the announcement tone before the page.

To page the group, dial '*600 + page group number'.  i.e. *600123 for group 123.

Note that for an extension to page to groups, the function must be enabled on the extension's Enhanced Services page.

Local Paging

Polycom and compatible paging devices can also be setup to page on the internal LAN without going to the Cozzmic Servers and back.  The benefit of this is less Internet usage and delay, but you are also restricted to a single building.  The Server based paging can page to multiple bulidings/networks.

If the Local Paging option is used, your phone will have a Paging button which allows you to page to phones and speakers on your network.  Multiple groups can be setup.  Leave the handset on the phone and press Paging, select the group to page to and then press Page.  You may then pick up the handset or use the speakerphone to page.

Note that the devices available to each paging group is not setup in the MyPhone portal.  Contact Cozzmic Communications Support if you require changes.
